The Detroit Promise offers a tuition-free path to trade, two-year, and four-year credentials at 32 Michigan colleges and is one of the Detroit Regional Chamber’s flagship education and talent programs. Many seniors who both live in Detroit and attend any high school in Detroit are already eligible.
The Detroit Promise has been administered by the Chamber since 2013. Funded by the Michigan Excellence in Education Foundation, the Detroit Promise provides educational opportunities to students to help the Region achieve the goal to reach 60% educational attainment and cut the racial equity gap in half by 2030.
