The Detroit Regional Chamber Events & Detroiter Events both now run on Google Calendar. There are several ways this service can be used to stay up-to-date on all of the events being held by the chamber, as well as what others are doing in the greater metro area. Using our calendarWhen you view our calendar, you'll be presented with a list of all upcoming events that we have in our calendar system. Detroit Regional Chamber events are listed in Blue. Community Events (added by you and others) are listed in Green. There are three tabs in the top-right corner of this list to allow you to change to a monthly or a weekly view. The Top BarHere is an overview of how to use the buttons that line the top of the calendar:
Viewing an eventRegardless of your view style, clicking on an event will show that event's description and give two options: "more details >>" and "copy to my calendar". Here is that that looks like in Agenda view:
Viewing our calendar in other applicationsIt's easy to view our calendar in other formats. All of these options can be found at the bottom of out calendar.
Submitting your own eventsSubmitting an event to the community events calendar is free and easy. Simply visit our calendar, scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll see the heading "Submnit a new event" and click on the "Event Title" text box to reveal the rest of the submission form. You should fill out all of the information that you have, and your contact information is required. It's important to confirm ALL of your event details including DATE, TIME and DURATION because you will not be able to make changes once an event is submitted! |

- This will open a new window and just show you our calendar. If you are logged in to a google hosted account, you should be able to see your own calendar as well.
- this option is great if you regularly use a feed reader or other RSS enabled service. It is simply a machine-readable list of upcoming events.
- this option is great if you want to add our entire calendar to your own program, such as Outlook. You can use this option with any software that supports the iCal format.
