In recognition of International Women’s Day, the Detroit Regional Chamber and Wellness Works are partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to host a new event aligned with the global celebration’s 2024 theme of #InspireInclusion. Attendees will spend half a day celebrating personal wellness and hearing about their career journeys from women.
This year’s revamped event format presents attendees with a unique experiential hubs with the following opportunities:
- Wellness Works will host an Affirmation Station and a raffle for a self-care basket.
- Presenting sponsor Community Financial Credit Union will host a seven-point “fincheck” for attendees to evaluate their financial health.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) will facilitate an activity to explore bodily health and share wellness-related information.
- Enjoy live music from Florella Strings, sponsored by Rocket Companies.
- Henry Ford Health will share their program, C.A.R.E, offering resources and support for caregivers.
- Maven, a women’s health-focused program from BCBSM, will educate attendees on the range of resources their program offers.
- Michigan Humane will host adoptable cats and dogs for participates to play with.
- Sponsored by Enbridge, attendees can participate in a “make-and-take” flower bouquet station with Mia’s Flower Truck.
- Hear a conversation among women business leaders moderated by WDIV’s Christy McDonald.
- Attendees can engage with a 360° video booth by Showtime Production Group.
