Andrew Stein joined The Children’s Foundation as President and Chief Executive Officer, which supports and encourages innovative ideas, programs, and research to improve children’s physical and mental health.
For 14 years, Stein was part of City Year Detroit, serving in a variety of leadership positions. Beginning as an AmeriCorps Member, Stein eventually became the Executive Director of City Year Detroit, where he more than doubled the organization’s size, increasing the number of students served every day from 2,500 to 7,000.
Stein serves as Treasurer of New Detroit, a Board Member of the Sherwood Forest Association, and numerous other coalitions and committees focused on children, education, and workforce development. He was the recipient of the Detroit Young Professionals Vanguard Award and an alumnus of Leadership Detroit Class XXXVIII.
Andrew is an alumnus of Detroit Country Day School, Michigan State University, and Georgetown Law School.
