Andy Meisner is the treasurer for Oakland County. As treasurer, Meisner focuses on preserving property values, preventing mortgage and tax foreclosures, and prudent stewardship and investment of Oakland County taxpayer dollars.
Prior to his election as treasurer, Meisner served three terms as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives. As a state representative, he worked primarily on legislation to bring the motion picture industry to Michigan, advance stem cell research, and reform the mental health system.
Meisner earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Detroit-Mercy. He is a certified public finance administrator (CPFA).
