Jared Fleisher is the Vice President of Government Affairs and Economic Development for Rocket Companies and the Family of Companies, where he focuses on policies and initiatives that support economic development in the City of Detroit and throughout Michigan.
Fleisher was integrally involved in the development, enactment, and implementation of the “MIThrive” legislation, which created a new innovative tax increment financing mechanism to support transformational brownfield redevelopment projects in Michigan.
He also led in forging a bipartisan agreement on the SOAR legislative package designed to support major economic development projects and strategic site readiness investments.
Fleisher is focused on all dimensions of economic and community development, believing that combining business attraction, building vibrant cities and town centers, and developing high quality, attainable housing is the key to growing Michigan’s population and economy.
Fleisher is a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School.
