Karen Dybis is a Metro Detroit freelance reporter with more than 20 years of experience, working at The Detroit News as well as national publications such as jewelry magazine JCK and U.S. News & World Report. She is the author of four books, including “Better Made in Michigan” and “The Witch of Delray.” Her fifth title, “Doughtown,” about the history of Detroit Style Pizza, will be published in June 2023.
