Lydia Gutierrez

Lydia Gutierrez is the president of Hacienda Mexican Foods, a female and minority owned company in Southwest Detroit that manufactures corn and flour tortillas and tortilla chips.
Over the years, Gutierrez has received many awards and citations for her community service, among them, the “Entrepreneur Spirit” award by the Center for Chicano-Boricua Studies at Wayne State University; the “Small Business of the Year” award from Univision; and the “Junipero Serra” award for her leadership and commitment in mentoring youth given by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. She was also voted “Best of Michigan” by Corporate Magazine.
Gutierrez currently serves on the boards of the Detroit Food Policy Council, the Southwest Detroit Business Improvement District, and the Henry Ford Hospital System.
