Matt McCauley is the Senior Vice President of Regional Development for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), leading its field-based team of business community development managers.
Much of McCauley’s professional history centers on building and leading multi-disciplinary teams, using strength-based and change management approaches to drive economic growth across communities and regions. Considered a proven leader in his field, he also has a rich advocacy background on behalf of rural and diverse communities, having provided previous Senate testimony on the U.S. Farm Bill around sustainable development practices.
McCauley earned degrees in Business and Public Administration from Grand Valley State University, an Executive Economic Development certification from Harvard University, and is a previous German Marshall Fund Urban and Regional Policy Fellow.
