Kickoff to Financial Freedom Series

The Detroit Regional Chamber, Bank of America, Citizens, Comerica, and Deloitte hosted a 45-minute every Thursday in February 2023 to help upcoming or recent high school graduates and young professionals gain more financial understanding and kick off their financial freedom. Topics included personal budgeting, understanding credit, managing student loans, and purchasing a first home.

The Chamber and Deloitte hosted a webinar on Thursday, Feb. 2, about budgeting and money management. Effectively managing your personal budget can help you cover expenses with less stress, pay down longer-term debt like a school loan or mortgage, and save for future financial goals. The Detroit Regional Chamber and Comerica hosted a webinar on Thursday, Feb. 9, to discuss credit. “Understanding Credit” with Comerica covered all aspects of becoming an educated credit consumer, including how lenders evaluate for credit approval, factors that impact credit qualification, how credit scoring works, and ways money management today impacts credit standing tomorrow.
