Join the Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator Team, in collaboration with the Michigan Alliance of APEX Accelerators, for an overview of Department of Defense (DOD) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding for small businesses seeking to provide innovative solutions to support critical DoD needs.
During this session you will gain insight on how to identify the right solicitation for your technology, connect with Technical Points of Contact (TPOC), and influence future topics.

- How the components differ
- The difference between Broad Agency Announcements (BAA’s) and Open Topics
- Tips to be competitive and more!

About Michigan’s SBIR/STTR Assistance Program:
The Michigan SBIR/STTR Assistance Program provides SBIR/STTR training and proposal development services to technology companies with costs covered in whole or in part by the state. The program is funded by the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF), administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and managed by BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting.
No fee to attend, but registration is required.
The APEX Accelerator provides assistance to businesses in marketing products and services to federal, state, and local government agencies. Schoolcraft College in Livonia has sponsored the local program since 1985 and is the link between the government, prime contractors, and businesses.
The APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense. Additionally, the Schoolcraft College APEX Accelerator is funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Schoolcraft College.
