July 30, 2024

Goldman Sachs launched the 10,000 Small Businesses program, a transformative initiative designed to equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need to thrive to address the challenges small businesses face including accessing capital, retaining talent, and scaling their operations.

About the Program

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a comprehensive investment in the future of small businesses across the United States. The program provides entrepreneurs with access to education, capital, and support services, helping them to expand their businesses and create jobs within their communities. Delivered in partnership with community colleges nationwide, the program offers a best-in-class curriculum that covers all the fundamentals necessary for business growth.

Benefits of the Program

  1. Practical Business Education: The cornerstone of the 10,000 Small Businesses program is its robust educational component. Participants engage in a hands-on curriculum that spans key areas such as financial management, marketing, and strategic planning.
  1. Access to Capital: One of the significant barriers for small businesses is securing the necessary capital to expand, enabling participants to access the funding needed to fuel their business growth.
  1. Ongoing Support: The program offers one-on-one advising and networking opportunities to build a supportive small business community that fosters long-term success.

Why Join the Program?

Since its inception over a decade ago, more than 14,500 business owners have graduated, representing a network of 281,000 employees and generating a collective revenue of $25 billion. The program’s graduates consistently outperform the broader economy, with 67% of them increasing their revenues just six months after graduation.

By participating in this program, small business owners can unlock new potential, drive economic growth in their communities, and ensure long-term success
