International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Detroit Regional Chamber and Wellness Works are partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to host their annual International Women’s Day celebration in alignment with the 2025 theme of #AccelerateAction.
During the event, business professionals and leaders will spend an afternoon of empowerment connecting with fellow leaders. They will gain insight into strategies, resources, and activities that positively impact women’s advancement, to support and elevate their implementation while helping women and girls make informed decisions about their health.
As in years past, the lunch event will be moderated by WDIV-TV 4’s Christy McDonald, speaking with a panel of women leaders. The panelists will share personal perspectives on their professional journeys, including how they balance their health and wellness. Attendees will also have access to experiential wellness hubs, exploring various facets of women’s health and wellness.
