Chamber’s Sandy K. Baruah to Discuss Michiganders’ Views on the Economy and Democracy During Forum on the Future, Oct. 21

September 18, 2024

Join the Detroit Regional Chamber’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Sandy K. Baruah, on Monday, Oct. 21, 5:30-9 p.m. at the Detroit Athletic Club (DAC) for a conversation about the state of society and what Michiganders can do to capitalize on or overcome it. This event is for DAC members and their guests only.

Baruah will be joined by Richard Czuba, Founder and President of the Glengariff Group, Inc. Together, they will explore the implications of the May 2024 Michigan Voters Poll that shows a growing disconnect between Michiganders’ views on the economy and trust in democracy, compared to the consensus of business leaders and economic forecasters. Through this discussion, industry leaders will learn how businesses can leverage or navigate the current economic climate to build sustainable models for the future.

During the event, Dennis W. Archer, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sixteen42 Ventures, will also moderate a discussion between a panel of Detroit’s innovation leaders about how leaders should leverage or overcome what the data indicates.

Panelists include:

  • G. Jerry Attia, Co-Founder, Framework E
  • Doug Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer, Detroit Wick
  • Greg Schwartz, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Co-Founder, StockX
